//that is my desk where I can work all the time 24/7\\

Sometimes I had sleepless nights (which it isn't good for my health! :S). I still got lots of things, I would like to show you what I have observation over the last few weeks.

Firstly, I've been create a new 'DVD-Menu' for my last project. My theme is Found. Art. because I have always look at the nature stuffs to use for film, also I have little hobbies collection on found objects in the past. But the main reason is all of my 6 projects need on common which I thought about Found Art from 'recycling' term.

I still got Typo in Space project, 5th Animation project and DVD menu to completed before 20th May. The pressure is still on!

Watch this space for next few days which I will keep you posted how I get on with my projects..

Funnily enough, when I had a bit of break from work then I thought I should go and have a look at other friend's blog. I know a blog called 'deareyes' which it is friend of mine from Estonian and I saw her webcam's picture like this. I should give a try and play around. I thought it was really fun to do it. It only takes you few minutes to do, VERY EASY and FUN.

Blu-Muto

This is some example work footages from Blu-muto which their works always inspiration! I loved their works and how they created from anywhere. They are very skilful painting and creative minds! For that reason why I want to show you their works because this works inspire me for my current project.

Film London in 90 Seconds: Capital Tales Project

(Oops! I haven't update my blog for a while. I apologise to my followers, the first and foremost of all.)

Well, let's say I have been working on my new project since last week, this is my second week. I must do something more and I will figure it out somehow first. However, you might be wondering what is the brief? The brief is 'the film and can be on any subject, any genre but if you need inspiration here are themes to get your creativity flowing : Hidden London, Breaking Down the Walls and Flying High.' I am not in anyway restricted to these themes/titles. So I can make anything I like.

Last week, I start to do something to make from the garden and borrow the Sony HD camera to start filming out of something I think it is inspiration.. I get my hands dirty! and get inspired! In my head is fill up with many thoughts and thinking about what I should do something that can be creative and inspiration! During one day in the weekday, i went on and filming all day to have some close up shot and far shot. Still work in progress...Please look below to see my example works so far;

The reason why I did that because I got out of the house to wandering around the garden, the first thing I saw at the garden are full of thrash cigarettes on the ground next to me. So I want to see and experiment them. Then I import the film into Final Cut Pro and editing changing like 'change speed', cut and paste and ALSO you might surprise to hear this....I editing audio sound too!! It's quite challenge for me to editing that sound to make it sound right and reasonable.

Anyone else ever met a deaf mute beggar in McDonald's

If anyone else ever met a deaf mute beggar in McDonald's, you got two options to give some money or not. Simple as that.

But, for me as a deaf person I find this bit surreal experience because I thought a deaf mute beggar could have a better life for himself. Personally, I find this quite appalling in some issues about a 'deaf mute' beggar..

  1. Why didn't he go to 'Deaf' community in UK? and he will might have a chance to get some support there.
  2. He had a family who can have some support and get in contact with other family too.
  3. When he approaching to hearing people ask them to read, I noticed that it is 'fail' way to have their kindness because of communication breakdown and too directly.
  4. Lastly, that is for sure which lots of people might felt bit intense and sympathy towards a beggar.
Deep inside me, I am frustrating with it because every other people might start looking at me after see a beggar. It was embarrassing. In somewhat, I got two options; let him some money or stand up ask him what's up with him?

But, I couldn't try. I cannot understand why i didn't do it because I think our language might be the same 'Deaf' language so what's the problem of not talking to him!

Can't believe what I am seeing it!

When I got back home from University today. Suddenly, it was out of nowhere that demolition of a opposite next door building takes place now. It looks like another disaster area. I felt quite mixed between sad and happy because I felt every neighbours need to move on to see something exciting new housing project coming up soon. On the other side, It is sad to see old building which cover full of trees and hedges surrounded start to disappear......for good.

The Mystery of the Abandoned House

With both this street and the empty house surrounding it so densely populated you would think it is difficult to hide this abandoned house is an opposite where i lived. That is deserted and bit spooky at the same time. This is one such place where I went to explore for a while during the afternoon.

It is very close to Hillingdon Hospital, just down the road but this place was like a ghost town. Literally. I could sense my feeling that I have to walk towards to this house back garden and it is still mystery. It is like a natural disaster area. There was no barrier or locked, it was open- access for anybody can use this area for a while (unless you won't want police to get caught you red-handed!)

This house used to belong and lived by 'legend' Bernard to fought World Wars in the past. He used to love greeting local people every years and never stops. Once, when I and my brother was little and he used to telling us his past stories all the time! (By the way, he actually have bit of OCD about his BMW black car recently before he sent back to care home nearby.)

Once, I knew when I continued walking around the back garden and peek inside the house that what it looked like a kind of history 'ghost town' will never go away. I still have the feeling that it can't be disappear from his tales of his proud 'past' around his old home area.

Express of Painting

I got this painting as a small gift from anonymous person. Please feel free to express yourself about this painting canvas work.

Paper Mash...er no. Ah! The History of Paper Timeline.

After exhausted few days since last weekend. What a turnaround for me and Antonia to planning all over again since yesterday.

When Antonia went for one to one tutorial with Anna. She got a feedbacks from her about the 'Paper Mash' idea which it isn't turn out to be great idea?! So unlucky we have been quite frustrated for couples of minutes after her tutorial. I told her we must continue and look at the bright side. Often we were looking forward to create fun 'Paper Mash' tournament but....no.

Let's moving on, so we came up with another few ideas about this project and it is only 5 days away!! ekk. However, we got some good idea for this project. We chose to do 'The History of Paper Timeline'.. we came up with this idea from the history about the paper. We thought how did paper made and when did paper first invent? Google them. It was the Ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks used papyrus, a tall water reed found along the banks of the Nile to write on, back to the 3000BC. Pretty amazing, wasn't it? Do you ever realise how long paper have been strongly influence us for many many years since then...look like technology era will take over paper eventually soon!

For planning time, as we did that talk today (after DVD Studio Pro lesson was cancelled) and we came up with few machinery idea to create it and film it soon this week. I and Antonia want to create domino short film about the history of paper timeline. We will be creating 6 different sections to represent history relate to 'Paper'.

  1. 4000BC - Egyptian Papyrus
  2. 3000BC - Early Chinese Paper
  3. 1580First ever newspaper to be published by Micael of Isselt in Cologne, Germany.
  4. 1863Earliest use of toilet paper in a roll form, patented in the USA.
  5. 1871Germans used paper as coffee cups.
  6. 2000's - Professional varied of papers have been use in Worldwide.

So, as you see above bullet points and that what we will be creating into domino short film. Watch this space!

Your best ideas are waiting to be discovered.

This poster which have been shown in the Underground. When I first saw this, and I thought "Hang on a minute.." and I have kinda bit of problems with my creative thoughts in University lately. I need something to click and I saw this and it is perfect way to solution my problem is 'Your best ideas are waiting to be discovered.' This remind me that I do not need to be so uptight, worried too much and trying to be perfection during the university projects lately. So Im trying to capture the best idea and let get on with the process and keep my hands dirty....

ta ra for now. Keep eye out for next few days.

BSL Talk: Gabriel Orozco

Normally, there will be every first 4th in every month is BSL Tate Talk.

On 4th March, they going to talk to us about new mexican artist called Gabriel Orozco. What a fine artist! Once I read the info from the a4 sheet of paper have been hand out, and it is said " Gabriel Orozco's name is close in sound to the name of Mark Rothko who is much more famous." eh? what is the heck is he talking about?! Let me tell you something, Mark Rothko is FAR more famous artist and very well-known for abstract painter. Lovely, is he?! :) But Orozco, I have never heard of him before his work display in Tate. He wasn't famous back then. Honestly, they suppose not talk about word 'famous' yet cos we need to know bit more about him before we can compare them or not.

Enough for me to waffle. Ha. Anyway, there is already over 100 deaf people turn up! Shocking, wasn't it? So I and my mate Jonathan have been to that exhibit before and we already know lots about him by observation, analysis and feeling inspire from his art works. So we are up for it to go and see his works again through BSL Talk. Actually, we get bit annoyed by deaf people chatting and not listening. No comments. We weren't that inspire by Dick Thomas giving us a lecture because of his not enough depth talk about his artworks. Say nothing more.

Olympic Bus Tour

Well I got to meet David 'Flashman' Cameron, aren't I(?) Let's hope not.

Early sunshine morning, I cannot wait for this bus tour around the Olympic site for the first time ever. When I got arrived at Pudding Mill Lane DLR station (I think that station is bit cute and small but right next to the massive Olympic site! :o)

I got to meet rest of the DeafPlus 18 volunteers first into one group. Our leader is Olive, (she is so nice to us!) she taking us to the Olympic Bus Station pick up point and prepare for the bus tour. Most of us will be our first time compare to Olive's EIGHTH time!! :s There is a tour guide lady with a BSL interpreter as well. She was explain about Health & Safety first (typical, isn't i?!) anyway moving on and she told us about the recently how London 2012 won the bid and so on. We watched the video inside the bus for 10 mins.

However, Bus is ready to give us a ride around the Olympic site. I start to feel bit of buzz to see something wow-factor but there are many isn't because it still being built and only one building already completed now. It is Velodrome stadia and I was amaze that this stadium look like a Pringle Crisp shape!! and the design of the building was gobsmacking!!

Moving on, lastly I want to say bit more before I can show you few pictures below. She mainly telling us what will happened after the Olympic site like there will be new schools, new sport clubs, West Ham taking over the Olympic Stadium to become Football/Athletics stadium (which it is bad idea!), new international broadcast media centre (it is massive) and lots of involved in politics where who will own this site by which London borough! It is still ongoing talk-fight. So it is worthy to go and see it!

The Blank Sheet Project

Gladly, I am grateful to have a partner to work with me. My working partner is Antonia. Welcome! So, mainly we will be focusing on our fourth brief for this final major project. A brief is to create a viral movement amongst designers that unbreakably links Arjowiggins Creative Papers with creativity and the creative design process. *mm...thinking right now*

Anyway, so today I met Antonia for a long discussion meeting all day. We have been talking about mind-map, ideas and storyboard. During the day, we had a two tutorials with Zamir (one in the morning and other one in the afternoon), we found it quite useful to have feedbacks from them.

Basically, I and Antonia bring our own research moodboards. Even though, we had our little time to have a look at each other moodboards which it is nice and bring up bit more ideas. However, we discussion talk already begin now. Our thoughts always come up random idea like 'dot to dot' on individual postcards.. and what different things people would do with paper if they had nothing else to do?..

But we kept asking ourselves..is it that viral enough? strong concept? and will it look good? So we had another second good idea is a quick scribble on a blank paper then another person will have to make a line drawing from a scribble. Antonia trying to think of a term word for 'Start a war'. Also we have been showing some great YouTube to develop our idea..

The making of A from Bianca Chang on Vimeo.

And, after that we went to see Zamir for second tutorial. We explain to him about our idea;

Our first draft idea
title: Pay(per) BACK! {paperback- type of book}
Macbook sat onto a plain office desk. So sheet of paper crawling on the table like creepy animals so then papers from every  direction going into the laptop like a virus and Macbook start to like a trap! So paper is in the macbook and shake things like 'something's wrong in there' so suddenly massive shocking papers come out from the screen and become like ugly beast (similar to 'mobile in mircowave' effect!) so slogan called 'Paper can not to be ignored'

After such a long day, we still on the process for this project and create a better idea that will engage the audience and MUST HAVE viral movement! Our current idea sound like a commerical idea. :P

I got last surprise for you, Antonia..we've recent discuss about paper folding, check it out YouTube (look below):

GB Deaf vs Sweden Deaf: Ticket (Official design)

There is something I want to show you my recent work. Someone ask me to design it and I thought why not? I manage to do this design in a very strong and direct way. I got lots of good feedbacks. Hopefully, somehow I strongly felt that this design ticket inspire some our loyal GB fans.

Homemade Banana Cake

I am going to try my best to add this first ever post blog. It's truly exciting to do this first and many more to come in the future. Enough for me to waffle this time..

I thought I might like to share with you all about this cake

That homemade banana cake was truly delicious to eat! My mother made this earlier in the week. It was specialty 'low-fat' banana cake, so when i ate it i thought 'gosh, that's must so damn sexy!' I ate few of them and make me full up already :)
